Ramadhan has ended, Lebaran has begun

A new holiday has started

Our school is now off for a week or so.
As students in Canada make their way back into classrooms, and adults recover from the long weekend, the travel and visiting of Lebaran are beginning.

The fasting has ended. I honestly don’t know how people fast in this heat, especially going without water for extended periods. I’m told you get used to it. While I embrace the concept that we should all find our own way to live and worship, I don’t see fasting ever becoming a part of my life.

I wish all a safe trip home and a great time with family and friends.
